Trump will win

Because of the recent story out of Haverhill, Massachusetts.  Per video at link, neighbors gathered to support resident with ‘too many’ Trump signs.  32 square feet allowed and has way more than that.  Several protestors were only supporting his 1st Amendment rights.  “Many of the supporters that showed up said they were not there for Trump, but to support Early’s First Amendment Rights.”  President Obama carried Haverhill 61% in 2012.  Nevermind the pretense, in my mind, about the 1st Amendment.  A solid blue town has substantial Trump support.  Trump will win.

Scoff

Sec. Clinton said, re the recent Chelsea bombing, “it’s always wiser to wait until you have information before making conclusions”.  I believe it was Sunday morning.  So there was an explosion in NYC that injured passerby.  That is information, is it not?  Her real message, “Wait for and believe in the spin once we have figured out what happened”.

Never far away

The whiff of totalitarianism is never very far away from Sec. Clinton.  Half the people who support Trump are in ‘basket of deplorables’.  “Listen to voters? No, voters should listen and follow her” is the apparent attitude.  Not democracy, but aristocracy.  Assuming she wins, how would Clinton handle or address the deplorables?  In her view they are racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic.  Re-education would be first; no need to listen to them, they need new ways of thinking.  Then after that does not work, forced re-education.

Update: a commenter in Althouse blog points to Clinton’s call last year for fun camps for adults.

Paper dragon

They say China is very angry with North Korea for its antics (to put it mildly) re nuclear weapons.  But North Korea just set off its 5th bomb, and it sounds reasonably successful.  Maybe China is just a paper dragon.
