My company’s website quoted an outside expert to the effect that if a country has to devote “all” [his word] of it resources to caring for its aging population, then it would limit available resources for that country’s government [I agree], including “national security” [sorry, I call baloney].  Caring for the elderly, however high a calling, will never override the fears behind national security.
